Veterans' Respite The American Heroes Return MTP program is supporting active duty and veterans in transition by providing a place of rest and unwinding. Getting Away One way for a returning hero to restore their war-heightened metabolism and nervous system towards one more tuned to a lower-key civilian life environment, is a quite respite. And veteran, especially one working to overcome the impacts of PTSD, benefits from the quite, nature filled time of the forested ultra-rural setting. And when that time includes others who they can relate to, share with, unwind with, the combination is healing.
Place of Solace (aka Woods Center) West Virginia Having a permanent home for our Heroes Program is awesome, that means every dollar donated, every building placed, is there to serve our veterans for years to come.
The current drive is to refurbish the cabin home as a base of operations where the first transitional veterans can live and restore. Let us know that you are interested in participating with a phone call or email. We'll chat about how you can be involved.
Partnering A great program is built on strong ties and networking to others who also have the veteran's best interest in mind and provide services to compliment ours, and ours to compliment theirs.
